Collective Propositions

1.   The future fashion industry will be decentralized

2.   Cities must share to thrive within an economy of limited resources and restricted growth due to the deleterious effects of climate change.

3.   The fashion industry–from designer brands to recycling facilities, and research laboratories to ateliers and everything in between–can only effectively operate within environmental limits if it's regulated by public-private partnerships and enforced by sub-national confederations of cities and regions.

4.   Reintroducing the guild house as a building type.

5.   The reimagined fashion industry will extend garments’ lifespans through commonplace repair and recycling infrastructures, will only be made-to-order in a seasonless and limited production calendar at close-to-home fabrication sites, and will harness fully-automated technologies and expert hand-craft in specialized facilities to improve quality standards and discontinue sizing standardization.
